Considering phones (and other devices) are basically little revenue generating devices, it would be more of a benefit to the economy to just give them away.
If you don't have a phone, you can't buy tons of stupid, useless apps.To us, it is the BEAST.

We need to change the wording of the pledge so that it can remain faithful to it's heritage. Something like:
"I pledge allegiance ... and OMG THE FLAG IS RED, better dead! ... one nation, hiding under desks, with black lists and imminent nuclear winter for all."
