I'm no expert, but I'm thinking you aren't either.

But this is how I understand the most common belief about the sexual objectifcation of women. Society values women more for being sex objects than for other qualities. The constant emphasis on women's sexual value by society reinforces the belief that women are valuable because of the sexual pleasure they give men. Therefore presenting women as sex objects is sexual objectification.

I'm not, but I was raised conservative, have run with people all over the political spectrum including a lot of showbiz liberals, settled somewhere in between and fancy that I grok both POVs.

Feminism is a political spectrum just like any other not inherently extremist. My mother is a very conservative retired teacher/church lady who resents that her brothers didn't have to do the dishes when they were kids. She's a feminist, if not by your definition, because as far as she's willing to go on women's issues, she feels very strongly.

Some feminists are no-fun buzzkills, sure. Some are feminist, but wouldn't care about a girly dancing .gif.

Kid, there's bad people out there everywhere, in any category you'd care to name. The opposite is also true. They're not all b*tches gaming the system for unfair advantage.
