I have never said otherwise. I would like all to be treated equally. I still believe women are getting the short end of the stick on more things than men. That has nothing to do with who I think is superior.

I'm listening to npr right now and they start talking about how women politicians should be aloud to be *****y when the press asks them questions. According to them the press harsh on them because the're *****y and therefore the press is sexist.

First the press doesn't say anything about it. They made that up. Second, they act *****y because they get away with it. Men would do the samething if they could. Do you think for one second that a male politician can act like a ***** when the press asks him a question? But npr was saying men should be able to act like *****es too!

Anyway, this is the nonsense that is feminism. How can you support it? The press won't be able to ask questions politicians don't like in the future. They will probably have to get consent to ask a question. This is ****ing madness.

And yes I realize that men have a higher percentage of getting screwed in custody cases. I've always wondered about that since most of the judges making those decisions are men. You would think they would lean towards siding with the men. But these judges obviously believe that the kids will be better off with the mother.

The doctrine adopted by family courts in many juridictions gives prority to mothers and judges probably don't like being overturned on appeal. That's one of those things that happened when we weren't paying attention to feminists. Way way back kids were almost automatically with dad. It should be swinging back to joint or shared custody as a default, but it's a fight.

I call bull**** for a myriad of reasons.

1. Define "success".

2. a quick google search reveals that single father households are more than twice as likely to have a cohabiting partner than single mother households... which effectively doubles the household income.

3. the demographics are different... single fathers are more likely to be older... and get paid more than single moms despite both being predominantly not college educated

So if single dads were more successful (using whatever bull**** standards for "success" you imagine), it's because single moms don't get paid the same... so yeah, it's a gender equality issue. Pay women the same.

And lastly, even if there were studies (and other evidence) confirming your opinion, you couldn't be trusted to make the argument because you are a flaming bag of ass.

and? All the things you've pointed out mean that single dads can be better for kids, but the default for years was for kids to go with mom. Strange when the best interests of the child are supposed to be the over-riding principle.

c 1900 in the rare divorces, kids almost automatically were awarded to dad.

It's really hard to be a non-custodial parent, because you are not an equal parent. If you aren't an equal you really aren't a parent. It changes your relationship with your kids which is a horrible thing. But the custodial parents too often don't see it as bad. They think kids only need their father if he's married to her. It makes no sense but good luck talking to them about it.
