Common sense and a lack of evidence to the contrary. Given that you cited a particular percentage you were obviously implying that this what you were presenting was more than just your general impression.

Out of all the guys that I associate with only one has had an issue. If it was 75%, I think I'd know more than one. People here seem to have similar numbers and are questioning the 75%. That's much more substantial than "I read it somewhere."

Oh and of course women are all scheming to get that promotion by whatever means necessary, which of course is why the upper levels of management are predominately female...
