Why not how many people die waiting for care?

Right up there with people that die because they don't have care or have been denied care by companies that they are insured with.

Very few when you look at the actual figures rather than listening to the bare faced lies of hard right wing American conservatives.

When you wait all day In the waiting room do you think that is efficient?

Well, I'm not sure how many lies he's told during his address, but last year he said he was one age, and NOW THIS YEAR he says he's another age. Which is it, Obama?

We have greater freedom of speech here
Do I really need to list the litany of court cases in Britain, France, Switzerland, etc. in which individuals were convicted for what was determined to be 'hate speech'?

Could the Westboro Baptist Church legally protest in most European countries?

              Flag desecration is illegal in:
              Austria (under 248 Strafgesetzbuch)
              Croatia (NN 110/97 article 151)
              France (Article 43-5-1)
              Germany (90a StGB)
              Portugal (article 332)
              Romania (article 236)
              Switzerland (SR/RS 311.0, art. 270)

Freedom of speech is legal in the USA.

We are more open to immigration
Regardless of anti-immigration sentiment among a minority of Americans (and for British to deride Americans for anti-immigration sentiment is the best case of a kettle calling the pot black!), American immigration law is more pro-immigration than the laws in most European countries.

Over 1 million aliens receive Legal Permanent Resident status per year in the US (http://www.dhs.gov/xlibrary/assets/s...pr_fr_2008.pdf).

How many European countries restrict immigrants to skilled workers and students only?

Look at this survey of EU countries and their immigration policies regarding 'unskilled and low-skilled workers' (ULSW): http://ec.europa.eu/bepa/pdf/publica...l_handbook.pdf

In Belgium, the migration halt, which was officially proclaimed in 1973, continues. While numerous exceptions are made for highly-skilled or highly-qualified third-country nationals, official labour migration of unskilled or low-skilled third-country nationals to Belgium is almost non-existent
Generally, third-country ULSWs are not admitted into Denmark. The legislative exceptions concern short-term au-pairs and interns
Access to German labour market by non-EU, non-EEA, and non-Swiss nationals is highly restricted as a result of the 1973 "Anwerbestopp" policy, which places a hold on recruitment... Access is, in principle, limited to certain professional groups and requires prior approval of the employment authorities.
In general, third-country ULSWs are not admitted to the Netherlands.
Currently there is no specific scheme for employment of third-country ULSWs from outside the EU member states, the EEA, or Switzerland. Those who are not in a designated skilled occupation are ineligible for admission under the general labour migration categories (Tiers 1 and 2 of the 'points-based system').

Our naturalization process requires 5 years of residency, the same as Britain and France, and less than Portugal (6 years), Norway (7 years), Germany (8 years), Denmark (9 years), Italy (10 years), and Switzerland (10 years).

We have less restrictions on abortion, particularly late-term abortions
Late-term abortions are illegal in most European countries but legal in the US.

We have separation of church and state
Did you know the UK's School Standards and Framework Act 1998 mandates collective Christian worship at state schools? (http://www.legislation.gov.uk/ukpga/1998/31/schedule/20)

France bans the wearing of religious items and headscarves.

The only time people spend all day in waiting rooms would be if they're at a hospital for a minor injury and there was something like a major car crash that unexpectedly required all the doctors to deal with it en masse. Something I have to assume could also happen in the US too, no?

                          HOLY ****

Who made it so that quotes of people who are on your ignore list show up as "This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote"?

Because, who ever it was, I'd like to donate all of my earned "thanks" to them.
