What makes you think I think that?

By definition, corporations can't be trusted to handle the security of their products. And the legislation about gmos in North America is grossly deficient.
I looked up corporation in the dictionary, and it turns you don't know what the phrase "by definition" means.

Even in the 3rd world where Roundup Ready crops were used, the farmers who were affluent enough to afford Roundup Ready seeds surely can afford 2-4-D.

the issue is gene transmission at large, not just the Roundup fiasco.
There are only 2 forms of GM crops that are widely used. Roundup Ready, resistant to Roundup, and BT crops, which make their own Bt pesticide.

Clearly you were using the wrong dictionary. Boris' has corporation = EVIL. Stop refuting his world view. Life outside the bubble is hard and scary.

That may or may not be true but so far you haven't really proposed any legislation and explained why it would be an improvement over the status quo.

I can actually make Quinoa taste pretty good. Chimichurri is not really my favorite. I'm not a huge fan of parsley.

This would seem to imply that all of the laws we need are already on the books and they simply aren't being enforced. (I'm assuming you're not insane enough to think the state should be permitted to jail people who haven't broken any laws.)

More seriously, it would be reasonable to just ban commercial use of GMOs already.

What are non-commercial uses of GMOs? And why is this reasonable?

Because fakeboris is wedded to the naturalistic fallacy. You're not really going to get anywhere with him.

Experimental GMOs should be allowed of course for research purposes.

As to why GMOs are a disaster, the evidence is overwhelming.

                            - Accidental cross-breeding
                            - Contamination to non-GMO fields
                            - Encouragement of herbicide abuse
                            - Strange vegetal illnesses popping up
                            - Legal bullying of farmers
                            - Corruption (to limit action against the preceding)

Read my posts you idiot. My objections against GMOs come from empirical data.

Why would a corporation that has spent billions on developing a product inform you about its harmful properties?

Do you understand what a corporation is, and to whom lie its obligations?
