I haven't mentioned Subway. The one employer I specifically mentioned her advocating taking action against was Boeing.

For those who aspire to live in a high cost, high tax, big government place, our nation and the world offers plenty of options. Vermont, Canada and Venezuela all offer you the opportunity to live in the socialist, big government paradise you long for. –Senator Rubio

Even the spectre of Seattle not having any fast food is a nothingburger to me. Dick's (a local burger joint that hits the spot on occasion) already pays its employees fairly well, pays shift supes 5 dollars over base pay with merit (base pay is 10.25), and they sell their most fancy burger for less than 3 bucks. Sure its a volume business but so is subway.

Boeing is in Everett and is already packing up because of unions (but honestly, **** Boeing, and **** Airbus too, they survive on massive government subsidies).

Holy ****, wow, this is a good point. Republicans really should support increasing the minimum wage, considering how much we despise poor people and want them to suffer.

When you start thinking about how "we" do things in America, why do we need a middleman like Boeing to give money to people?

You need to go full circle HC and copy the abortion playbook - Republicans need to support raising the minimum wage but not take any legislative action that is meaningful on anything more than the state level.

Yes, bring on the "suffering" of poor people getting paid more
