Harvesting emails and passwords from easy targets. Or just being douchebags because they can.

There's a lot of user overlap between the sites. It's possible that someone with permissions on one site gets their account credentials compromised (or clues towards it) via a hack on another site.

There have been several large weaknesses found in VB software recently so script kiddies have been running around looking for websites which don't have the latest patches applied just so they can mess it up and show everyone how "leet" they are.
