Why isn't The Holy Quran on that list?

Despite me joking earlier about Harry Potter, it's kind of noticable that a series that has sold over 400 million books also doesn't appear on that list. Strange..

And let's not forget about how the Bible supports incest.

                    en. wikipedia. org/wiki/List_of_most-printed_books
5 billion over the course of 2000 years is only 2.5 million/year. That's not very impressive. And half of those are hotel bibles that no one ever reads. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows has only been out for six years and they've already printed 44 million copies.

Strictly a list of fiction, kentonio. Say the Bible is fiction. It still blows away your Wiki list.

I think the flaw in your theory was pointed out just above.

You realize the original Harry Potter mention was a joke and that you really don't need to defend sales of the bible in any way right?

It's been around for a lot longer than a lot of other 'fiction', in one form or another. I might not believe it or believe in it, but there are a lot of passages in it that are incredibly moving* and damn fine literature ( I prefer the King James Authorized Version ).

(* David mourning the death of Absalom for instance)
