  • Batman Arkham whatever... city asylum... I don't even know anymore

I just saw a screenshot of this new game. This is listed as a "minor spoiler" on reddit. But I can't see anything that is part of the story. I'll add tags just in case.
    Spoiler:

    Why is Batman so puffy?

And how does he find time to fight crime if he's working out so much?

And how does a locked door stop him?

    He's lactating.

    Fighting crime is his workout.

    He's not a criminal. Criminal.
No, I did not steal that from somebody on Something Awful.

His upper arm (bicep/tricep) is bigger than his head.

I guess there's a leveling system in this game. Batman doesn't seem suited to RPG.

I've only played one of the other games in this series. Generally, I like unlocking perks and leveling up... it just doesn't seem like a Batman game should have that sort of mechanic.

This game is repulsive to me. An attempt to cash in on the success of the Nolan films (which are nothing like these games) and simultaneously cash in on the Rocksteady games (which have worn out their welcome by now). I honestly think people who play this game deserve to die.

Arkham Asylum was really good. I never played Arkham City.

I've got Arkham City GOTY. It was meh. Seemed very consoley. You just mash buttons, alternating attack or counter. It's surprisingly boring.

The SSD I run games off of only has so much space. The games I play most stay installed on it. Everything else gets backed up to storage. Arkham City isn't quite SSD-worthy yet.

Yes. That was a Seinfeld reference.

You're right about that. Batman starts out as a badass. What works in a blank slate RPG doesn't really make sense with an established character. We should see him become stronger more by building relationships and developing new gadgets than by leveling up.
