You know, when you look at graphs of things like population growth:

energy usage, GDP growth... or basically any other measurement of human activity... you'll notice it gets bigger

That seems like a basic fact of human life and civilization.

But the idea that government maybe needs to be bigger in order to effectively manage even the basic things? That is just soooooo threatening to conservatives.

Seriously guys. Just get some therapy. We get it. You feel extremely insignificant. You'll compare manage a country of 300 million to managing a household... the budget, specifically.

We get it. It's big. It's complicated. It makes you scared. That's fine. You don't have to participate in the process. Leave doing so to people who are better equipped, emotionally.

Go shoot your guns, drink your beer, watch your NASCAR. Stop trying to destroy human civilization.

If and when the Nazi Islamic Commie government subjugates us all, it's going to be done at the state and local level. Some windbag in Washington isn't going to be in charge.

Also, this has been settled since the 18th century. It was called the Articles of Confederation. It sucked. That's why we have the Constitution.
The Constitution was very much a State's Rights document before being amended.

Again... that's why the Articles of Confederation failed.

Plus, the central government is really too inefficient to maintain effective control over the entire country by itself. If you are actually concerned with some dictator taking over, you should support the current system... not some pipe dream anti-federalist utopia that cannot and will not ever exist.
A lot of those "protections" that you enjoy were not in the Constitution as ratified.

There is a fine line between just being a dumb troll and just being dumb. You have made that abundantly clear.

True, though the government usually has tended to be in favor of the hierarchical order - most infrastructure developments and the tax code tend to benefit those already at the top.

                    Yes. That's called progress.

The Constitution is very much a flexible document that allowed for improvement. That's why it has been so successful.

Pretty much everything that is good about the Constitution is what conservatives hate. Let's be real. The only thing you guys love is the 2nd Amendment. If you had a choice, that's all the Constitution would be.

Trolling is a product of boredom, and boredom has no favorites.
No, I did not steal that from somebody on Something Awful.

You wouldn't know a true conservative if you saw one.

You only know who Chris Matthews tells you who a conservative is...and he is mainly wrong (as you are)

Seems like yall need to figure out what "conservative" means, amongst yourselves, before you start saying I dunno what it is.
