                              Mike hates banning people, so when he's forced to he does it Big Time; that way he doesn't have to do it often. I think six months is the minimum now.

                                Yes.

                                Well it's not that I hate banning people, I think short bans are like a badge of honour and most of the moderation here was based around people trying to get short bans so they could moan about it, a short ban was like a win.

                                With that in mind I originally said temporary bans are pointless and just create work so we should only do perma-bans. I was persuaded to give a lenient 6 months for first offences.
