There really wasn't much crime in Santa Barbara. I do recall the President of the Student Body got arrested for drugging some chick's beer and then raping her when she passed out but that was more an exception than the rule. Oh, I also remember a chick (who was under age to boot) got drunk and then fell out of one of my friend's roommate's balconies which was at the top of a cliff over looking the sea. She died and she was only like 17 or something. No one knew her and apparently she was just some high school girl who snuck into a college party, got wasted, and then fell to her death. That sucked.

Surprised that Harvard is more dangerous than Yale. Not surprised by UPenn, what with all that Sandusky nonsense.

That's Penn State, not UPenn. That's a Kuciwalker mistake. UPenn is the Ivy League school in Philly founded by Ben Franklin.

Glad it was cleared up that it was Rutgers-Newark. Though that campus really isn't that bad anymore (at least not as bad as Rutgers-Camden).

Rutgers College (New Brunswick) was super-safe. I didn't worry a bit stumbling to the dorms or out to the Grease Trucks at 3am.

U Penn was tough back in the 90's. Don't know if it has gotten worse. But there were any number of Wharton students back then that were getting mugged by going off block after 7:00 pm.

It literally goes from elite snobs to hell (throw your wallet and run) in less than 100 yards.

I know. I have a UPenn friend who absolutely hates it when I confuse the two.

It must suck to be Penn State's marketing people. How the hell do you sell that brand now?

I am really surprised to read about the top 10 most dangerous colleges. I think robberies and murders should be controlled by the administrators. Shocked!
