Strictly speaking, the market is only infallible when speaking ex cathedra.

The Pope is significantly more fallible than the market, regardless of his chair. He's especially fallible when talking about how infallible he is.

"The market" isn't a thing that knows anything. You might as well use abstract ideas like "the environment" or "the universe". As wrong as I may be, I'm at least a real thing.

              Point taken.

But nevertheless, I'm more real than "the market"... which in KH's case is just a thing he uses to justify his involvement in an immoral industry.

Its even simpler than that Sava. KH uses the market so he doesnt have to have an opinion on anything he doesnt want to. Or at least can use it as a mask in the company of people who have strong opinions that he disagrees with.

                  Agree.

It's just lazy, IMO. It's also a cop out. I have more respect for BK. Even though BK is a psychotic, at least he has principles.

The market is in part a calculation method for the relative marginal value of goods and services to those participating in the market. Seems pretty well-defined to me.

Even simpler than that: I am not as arrogant as Sava, therefore I know that I am not fit to sound off on the value of everything on the face of the earth. In this context, the market is the amalgamated human wisdom on the value of the thing in question. Disagreeing strongly with that wisdom is an extraordinary position to take, requiring extraordinary evidence to be credible.

If you watched a chess match between two grandmasters, would you assume that a move you didn't understand was wrong, or that you simply weren't seeing as deeply as the players?

You're arrogant, just in different ways than Sava.

Eff that noise. I'll take KH and his monopoly money and faux wisdom of "all i know is i dont know anything" over the intractable ramblings of that loon.

What do you mean by marginal value? Marginal utility?
