In all fairness, rural Illinois is the same. Rural Iowa is the same. Rural Indiana is the same.
It's almost as if all his overconfident, absolutist assertions were spoonfed to him by a trusted website or subreddit. Sheeple

Which is why having a gun to fight off one of those mass shooters is such a failure of an idea. Even highly trained cops have a hard time shooting accurately under stress while studies have shown joe blow can't hit the broad side of a barn when they're under stress (like being in a movie theater getting sprawed with bullets). All the NRA's "give everyone a gun" theory would do is result in a lot more inaccurate bullets flying around and a lot more innocent people getting killed.

The numbers I gave listed the percentage of CC permit holders who committed a violent crime. .1884% is what I believe the number was. The entire point is that the the facts don't seem to bear out the accusations you and Oerdin were making about that particular slice of the population.

And unless you adjust for the demographics of CC premit holders, comparing that to the general poulation is meaningless.

Feel free to do so. It's quite possible that the evidence could bear out their contention that these people are violence prone, gun toting idiots but so far the evidence isn't pointing in that direction.

I just figure I might as well live up to ya'lls expectations.

Two things: First, mass shooters are affected by the stress of a gunfight as well. Instead of being able to leisurely stroll around shooting at unarmed people, they are forced to take cover and are less likely to shoot straight if somebody is shooting at them.

Second, as cute as your theory is, it's not supported by any evidence. With all the concealed carry permits and mass shootings, how many times have they collided to result in "a lot more inaccurate bullets flying around and a lot more innocent people getting killed." Come to think of it, how many mass shootings have even occurred in places where guns were widely permitted?

EDIT: Congrats on being able to completely ignore me tearing apart your earlier nonsense. I admire your ability to never be discouraged by how wrong you've been in the past.
                              John Brown did nothing wrong.

Ever wonder why there is never a mass shooting at gun shows?

Damn, Felch you beat me to it.
