  • The REAL news of today

I got a flyer for this. All for the low low Price of $12000.

I guess Games Workshop has to squeeze as much blood from their ****ty business model before 3D Printing completely destroys it.
Today, you are the waves of the Pacific, pushing ever eastward. You are the sequoias rising from the Sierra Nevada, defiant and enduring.

Games workshop would make way way way WAY more money if it just cut prices on all those stupid ****ing plastic army men. "Oh but the molds, they wear out they're expensive to make and--" no, no no no. LEGO does just as precise molding and for way cheaper.

Lots of people do mold their own stupid models, it's actually relatively simple to do. You make the mold with a tube of silicone sealant.

Though I admit it even if the space marines did cost a nickel I still wouldn't bother because **** gluing my fingers together.

This is where I start giving serious thought to Forgeworld actually being cheaper than GW.

Isn't forgeworld the place where they make models that melt like hersheys chocolate if you leave them in the trunk of your car?

Speaking of GW, have you picked up the newest SM codex?

The games at games workshop aren't even fun.

I've heard good things about the Black Legion supplement.

3rd printing will kill their model business but someone still has to paint them unless the printers get so good they can duplicate a good paint job.

That's actually probably not gonna be too hard to do. Most of the plastics can have dye added to them during printing.

                          GW doesn't deliver painted models.

It comes with a "chief librarian," apparently--actually, there are a bunch of "librarians" in there, plus a bunch of "chaplains." I really have to question the efficiency of this outfit when it's got lots of book-filers and clergy in the ranks, even if they do have plasma pistols and bolt-cutters or whatever. Also, "ultramarine" just makes me think of a really saturated shade of teal. I'm sure there's a good, but very long, backstory explaining all this. I also assume there's some reason why the central figures from the "Tenth company" appear to be disco-dancing with their rifles. Perhaps a dreaded epidemic of Saturday Night Fever swept the galaxy in Year of Darkness 723?
