Murdoch had a very sus meeting of editors just before the election. There is little doubt he sets the editorial line, those that don't toe it are quickly removed, which is exactly what happened after that meeting. It's silly to deny it.

So Murdoch apparently met Newscorp editors about an election, a major media event from which his newspapers could stand to gain a lot of money.
No editor has left the organisation nor made any claim that he was threatened.
In past elections Murdoch's newspapers have endorsed both Liberal and Labor candidates depending on the preferences of the editors. These editors have disagreed amongst themselves about their preferred candidates. In this election Murdoch's newspapers seem to prefer the Liberals. So too do most voters. 7
