Not just that. The Jews living in pretty much any part of the Arab world had to leave their homes.

you're arguing that all land everywhere has been stolen by someone at some point, therefore it's ok to steal land. in other words, because injustice has been committed in the past, it's ok to commit injustice today. that is a very weak and morally suspect argument.

in very simple terms, if your land is stolen then that is an injustice which should be put right. if someone stole your ancestor's land a few hundred years ago, then that is a point of historical interest. the right way to deal with that is to make sure that the descendents of those who stole the land, and the descendants of those whose land was stolen can live in a fair and equal society.

Israel is blowing up a heck of a lot more Palestinian children and shooting aheck of a lot more Palestinian civilians than vice versa.

many nations have occupied other peoples lands and not given them back, it wasn't only Hitler that conquered lands, The English did it more so. They created nations all over the world that never existed before they pulled out.
At the end of WWI the victorious powers attempted to establish the principle of self determination, at least in Europe. They failed. At the end of WW2 the Allied powers promised the end of colonialism and territorial expansion throughout the world. Over a period of time they've succeeded - except in this case.

Palestine itself was a Mandate of England since End of world war 1 that included all the land around the Jordan an area known as Trans-Jordan, the Palestinians don't seem to be claiming any of Jordans territories back but only Israeli lands.
Not true. The British didn't extend their control scross the Jordan until after the French established their control of Syria. The British sent political officers across the Jordan and eventually offered Abdullah bin Hassan the emirate of Trans Jordan. Though Trans-Jordan was included in the Mandate of Palestine it had a separate government throughout the colonial period. The original Mandate proclaimed that Britian would govern the region with the goal of developing the region for the benefit of its native inhabitants. Ironic, yes?

If this was simply about needing land for the Palestinians to live in then get the other Arab nations around Israel to give back the land that was historically part of Palestinian history too.

of course history shows that the surrounding nations have no interest in palestines, at the end of the initial war in 1948 after declaration was made and peace was signed, The west bank was controlled by Jordan, but never given to the Palestinians for a state, the egyptains controlled the Gaza strip again never given to the Palestinians as a state, jsu think how different things could have been if back in 1948 that land had been created as a PAlestinian state...
And this matters in what way?

That's because Israel protects its civilians, while Palestinian leaders cynically use theirs as human shields.
          John Brown did nothing wrong.

Was that before or after Yassar Arafat caused a civil war in Jordan during repeated attempts to overthrow the monarchy, including multiple assassination attempts?

Hmm, to be more precise Woodrow Wilson tried to establish the principle of self determination in the face of massive opposition from the other leaders and the American congress (and while simultaneously denying that same right to the black Americans who had just fought in large numbers in that same war) and largely failed.

                There is only one solution:

Shower palestinians with doughnuts every day, in 10 years they will all be obese and die (their medical facilities are anyhow weak), if you want to speed up the process give them free cigarettes as well, thus the Israelis will be able to annex the land, build flats and there will be noone to complain about it.

It would also cost less than this perpetual war.

Make a deal with Krispy Kreme and be done with it.

Free donuts and cigarettes will just get even more unsavory and uncouth people to move there for the freebies ... such as Americans ... and no one knows how to squat on other people's land and eat donuts better than us!

True. The shockwaves were lasting and probably provided a stepping stone for the post WW2 decolonization movement.

There's no help for it, Israel has the Palestinians packed in like sardines. The only way that Palestine could launch a strike from an area not densely populated would be if they launced them from Lebanon. We all know what happens when they do that.
