I have no idea why people pay for porn much less softcore porn. I guess it was Manchester's consolation prize after the owners of the Boston Globe refused to sell their paper to him and instead sold it to someone who actually promised to maintain a certain standard of journalistic integrity.

Oh, and it turns out "Papa" Doug is no longer even a billionaire and now is merely a multimillionaire as his wife of 43 years divorced him after catching him screwing his secretary. Ouch, those divorce settlements can get expensive. Oh, well, family values.

A few good articles about what's wrong with the Manchester UT (derisively called the mutt locally).

Oh, and undeterred from getting snubbed in his attempted take over of the Boston Globe he now wants to buy the Tribune Company which owns the Chicago Tribune and part of the Los Angles Times. The LA Times has been the biggest beneficiary of readers leaving the UT as the UT's sales numbers are down 12% year on year but the LA Time's numbers are up 11% and sales are so good they're thinking about restoring the old San Diego County edition of the LA Times which the paper killed in the early 90's.

I myself now buy the Sunday morning edition of the LA Times.

By "leans D" I think you mean "is factually based" which is something most conservatives can't stand. Still, the WaPo is mostly useful for political news.

No, I think by "leans D" means it leans D... which it does.
