For those who haven't played Torchlight, it's free on GOG.com today only.
Eh, I consider "like Diablo" to be something of an antonym of "fun." Tried Diablo once, concluded it was like Minesweeper without the logic puzzles and quit two levels in. If you disagree, of course, more power to you.

Interesting interpretation. I never thought of it that way. I can't say you are incorrect, either. The game is constructed in much the same manner. The control scheme is different, obviously. The looting and whatnot adds a new dimension. But from a design standpoint, it basically is Minesweeper.
Torchlight was fun. It is basically Diablo... but back to the roots of what made the first ones good. I played the **** out of Torchlight when it first came out. I think I'm done with the genre. It's good. But there's nothing new for me to explore with it.

I think you're giving me too much credit for deep thought here. I meant that both games involve clicking the mouse until your finger falls off.
