    I haven't checked the efficiencies of paper mills running on recycled pulp feedstock but in metals the energy gain of recycling is huge...

      It's cheaper to bury plastic than recycle it, but that's not a good thing.

        I bet you it is even cheaper to burn it and generate energy than it is to landfill it

          Still, burning it has to release a fair amount of pollution.
