Reading my post does seem to imply that doesn't it? Not exactly what I meant though. That is a "liberal" line that he is taking in regards to this. His saying that my Iraq example fails is also denying reality. Only a moron would think Obama's "red line" comment was ambiguous. Unfortunately, that seems to be the tact liberals are taking. So,,,Aeson is not liberal, but his viewpoint on this subject tows the liberal line. What the response would be was left at "changing options on the table" or "hold you accountable" ... neither of which are specific about what the response would be.

The Iraq example was that not pre-emptively condemning a course of action possibly contributed to the action being carried out. Have to say I'm pretty disappointed with the noises the US will start arming rebels. I'd be extremely wary of getting in involved in this mess, but if I'd decide to get involved then I'd do so without reservation. To enforce a no-fly-zone and bomb the **** out of Syria's military airfields ought to be the least of it.
