I thought, ok, I won't jump to conclusions despite the racist cover picture and decided to listen to the first thirty or so seconds. I heard "dealing with the homosexual epidemic running rampant in the black community" and felt stupid for giving you a fair shot at not being racist and got a double or nothing with homophobia too.

Because he is saying what the black community needs to do to improve. You disagree, then you want to keep the black man down.

So one African American who continually refers to other people of African descent as 'savages' is meant to be speaking rationally about what problems all African Americans are facing in the modern day United States.

I note no reference to the state of apartheid which existed in the United States until the beginning of the 1970s. I'm curious as to whether it's remotely possible that government enforced discrimination in place for many decades, might have had something to do with the impoverishment of urban and rural black communities.

No reference to the bombings of urban black communities in the North, no reference to the de facto discrimination which existed in the supposedly 'tolerant' North- as that 'savage' James Baldwin said :

"De facto segregation means that Negroes are segregated but nobody did it."

I happen to agree with his thoughts on the situation within the black community. Something many of you know nothing about except from what you see on Good Times.
