If the minigame is indeed moronic then you may need to accept that you are not intelligent enough to pass.

Oh, I never played the console version.

I've only played Mass Effect 2. It was meh. I got sick of scanning planets for metal.
To us, it is the BEAST.

I seriously think the minigame is bugged on the Xbox 360 "Mass Effect Trilogy" version of Mass Effect. Attempted my first master decryption last night and could not get past the first button press on like 20 attempts despite rapidly hitting the correct button on many occasions. Also had lots of trouble with easier decryptions, since button presses often didn't seem to register.

          edit: IT'S NOT JUST ME.

Sorry. If you can get past that, and tolerate the stupid repetitive side missions, it is a very satisfying game. The whole trilogy, in fact, save those last few minutes.

Apparently, Kaiden was written as bisexual in the first game, but they bailed at some point in the development process.

Lesbian* sex with an alien gets way, WAY more controversy sales than just ordinary gay buttsex.

*is it really lesbian with the Asari though? Minor and irrelevant philosophical point because they're actually just women painted blue.

Oh god. I was stunned at how they managed to make Mass Effect 3 a truly stellar game right up until literally the last 90 seconds of the game. Every single part of it was great until that wacky Star Kid shows up.

Yes. The conclusions of the first two major acts, wrapping up the two most interesting subplots of the trilogy, were especially terrific.

Well, they were terrific if you made the right choices in the other games, otherwise they were...um...deeply tragic.
