They're already doing that. It's amazing how many of them declare the Northeast and the Pacific coast uninhabitable because of "all the liberals" while they especially love to claim California is Greece and that it has been taken over by illegal aliens because, you know, all Hispanics are illegal aliens. The real reason they're moving to Texas though is because most of Texas is cheap and most Republicans are poor. They like that they can move to a place like Lubbock and buy a house for $15,000 but there is a reason why places like Lubbock cost next to nothing and that reason is they suck ass. It's a supply and demand issue, the reason it costs $700,000 to get a 3k sq house in San Diego (it's far more in the bay area) on a 0.25 acre lot is because so many people with money want to live in California while no one with money wants to live in Lubbock, TX so the prices get bid up in California and drop through the floor in Lubbock.

The folks leaving all pretty much fall into two categories the working poor and elderly retirees who are looking for a cheap place to die. The claim that it is the middle class is BS because the average family leaving only makes $38k (that's for a two income family so they're each only making ~$19k per year), they never went to college, and they have two kids. Those are the folks who got left behind, people who didn't go to college, who work some low paid blue collar job, and who don't have a hope of ever affording a SFH in California even in some crappy inland place like Fresno. THAT'S why they moved even if they claim it is because it was because of politics, they just got priced out because to many rich people moved here. Plus for every poor person who leaves for Texas we get ~2 new immigrants thus why the population keeps going up despite the claims made on Fox.

Why not? The housing market has pretty much recovered and people can sell then buy out of state and have money to burn. Do you think it's the same guy buying all the houses that get sold? And aren't you in Fresno or some jackhole town like that that ought to be part of Oklahoma?
