oh man that's low. In the Guard there are cadets, like, yes, ROTC cadets who serve as assistant platoon leaders. I know a couple. They have about as much responsibility as you'd expect, but it is useful training for them because in between doing ***** work for the LT they actually do learn a lot about their chosen branch and stuff.
