Fetuses be allowed to own guns to defend themselves from abortion doctors? Discuss ...

  • #2
That means they'd have to have the guns with them inside their mother's genital tract, which evokes some rather disturbing imagery.

I think they are allowed. It's the 2nd Amendment.

The gun would serve as an IUD, making the whole point moot.

If the woman's already pregnant then it would be an abortifactant, not an IUD.

              a) I was talking about fetuses, not the newborn
              b) I find your willingness to stereotype the new born shameful
              c) I'm sure you find it very convenient that most newborns aren't given guns to test whether your stereotypes hold true or not.

I doubt that the fetus's gun would have much stopping power.

An armed fetus is one of the only circumstances where I think abortion should be allowed. After all, he's pointing a deadly weapon at the woman, and she has a right to defend herself.
                  John Brown did nothing wrong.

On the other hand, an armed fetus could help protect the woman by shooting a rapist's dick off

Fetuses are incapable of forming intent, so I can't think of any reason why they shouldn't be armed.
