    In the news report it said no health followups were done. Where did you get your statistics?

      From the news report you posted, with the exception of the half-life of radium which I googled.

      Radioactive heavy metal contamination is kind of tricky to conceal. You can't just wipe it away with a damp cloth. If it was at levels sufficient to damage health, any cheap geiger counter would be screaming blue murder at the scene. But behold! There's nothing like that in the report.
