In fact, this would be a good time for players to check their obscure celebs to ensure we haven't already reached the 100th milestone...

      • Well, barring any previously unreported obscure celebs, Bonnie Franklin is the 100th memorial, having passed away at 69 from pancreatic cancer. Hit for myself and Wezil.

Is this a grand slam for you?

            It is.

It should also be a record breaker for points.

I'm sure most of them have already been duly informed by their medical professional(s).

                  • Bonnie Franklin was 69 and a pick of Wezil (5) and ColdWizard (5).

                    Wezil: (171 - 5) + (100 - 69) + 50 (100th Memorial) = 247 points

                    ColdWizard: 247 + 100 (Grand Slam) = 347 points

The rest of us are playing for second barring some sort of death rampage of our own. He's forcing us to up our game.

Bonnie Franklin was the 6th hit for the Derby leader. ColdWizard should consider going pro...

Perhaps, though I think your ranked scoring makes a better system.

I shamelessly stole my favourite bits from several DP's in designing the Poly version.

Derby has no "rank" so points are entirely based upon celeb age and bonuses. It makes the scoring closer but you still need many hits to be a contender. I usually submit the same team to both Derby and Poly yet despite placing well here most years my best Derby finish is 91st (iirc). It's a tough pool.
