Any of you miscreants beaten this yet? I can manage to make it to the final area on Easy, but I haven't so much as dented the rebel flagship.

You have to beat it 3 times. Boarding is very helpful. Board 3 of the 4 weapon emplacements on the flagship in round 1, leaving the weakest weapon alone. If you destroy them all, the ship will go into automated repair mode and repair them. But killing the crewmembers in those weapons in Fight #1 keeps them from showing up again later in fights 2 and 3.

It's also better to turn off auto fire. You want to hit it with everything at the same time.
