If those facts are not relevant, who cares? Most people don't ever make decisions based on evolutionary biology. If they are wrong about it, it is of no consequence. There are much more disturbing cases of willfull ignorance that have dire consequences for millions of people. For instance, the Democratic Party's willfull ignorance of elementary microeconomics.

Apparently right wingers don't have a good grasp of economics either since they readily believe that raising the top marginal tax rate from 45% to 50% caused two thirds of Britain's millionaires to leave the country.

You just label those you disagree with as extremist as a way of justifying to yourself the fact that you completely ignore their point of view.

I grew up being taught evolution in Catholic school. By nuns. This was in the 1960s.
Carbon dating? Accepted. Earth > 3 billion years old? No problem.
The vibe was: no life without God. But science was embraced.

They used to call themselved Fundamentalists back before some muslim psychos using the same moniker flew some planes into some buildings. Shortly after 2001 the use of the term Fundamentalist died out because they didn't want to be mistaken for Islamic Fundamentalists. In the US Christian Fundamentalism dates back to the last half of the 19th century and was a direct reaction to Darwin's theories which at that time had just begun to disseminate throughout the American heartland.

Are you seriously suggesting that Romney did *not* completely reverse course/flat out lie in the first debate regarding his previous positions in the campaign? Because we can go point-by-point through each of his debate answers and compare them to his previous statements and positions to show that this is indeed the case.
