        In other news, I read in the FT that millionaire* visas issued in 2012 is up over seventy per cent on last year. Mostly Russians, so taxes weren't the draw per se.

        * Visas granted to individuals for indefinite stay if they have invested over one million pounds in the UK, or something like that...

            we are far past the point of diminishing returns as far as the whole laffer curve theory BS is concerned

            the economy would kick right along no problem with 90% tax rates at say over a million dollars
