Banning whole milk? WTF? In many ways whole milk is _better_ than lower calorie milk for children. You can't drink that much of it compared to skim milk or 1% milk which you can chug nearly unending amounts of, and it fills you up so you're not hungry again as fast.

Rahm just sees Bloomberg as his idol, apparently. Boo to both.

Agreed. Now only outlaws will have whole milk.

I thought Rahm had something against the one percenters. This is very confusing.

It's important not to conflate this in-house policy for Chicago city employees with the citywide laws that Bloomberg has been foisting upon New Yorkers.

That is true. Retarded rules for employees and services for employees aren't exclusive to Chicago and New York City, or even government. Lots of employers have stupid rules like fat free vending machines or whatever.

It's just a stepping stone, JR, just a stepping stone.

Also, the whole milk bit is for the schools, which is much more important IMO. City employees can go to ****ing Walgreens for all I care.

In particular because the only thing Chicago's schools are good for is providing a couple of meals a day to the children.

If Rahm goes Bloomberg on us, he would be gambling his previously-assumed multi-decade run as Boss. I think he's smarter than that. Of course, he's also got an immense ego, so I wouldn't put it past him.

And I'm totally with you on the whole milk thing. Going after high-sugar flavored milk is one thing, but whole milk is sacrosanct in my world.
