Sure, but my point was that even if it started yesterday, it's still creepy. Which makes us a lot more likely to be against the guy, don't you think?

He was a good worker, and would be in Elmo at every opportunity.
No, I did not steal that from somebody on Something Awful.

I always knew Elmo was gay. (Nothing wrong with that!)

If it's consenting adults who cares? But Elmo, now that's creepy whatever the age or sexuality.

A rule of thumb in some communities is half plus seven and anything under eighteen if you are over eighteen being too young.

                  It's a rule of thumb.

I know a woman who is older than I where it would be creepy to get involved. She has serious health issues that lead to loss of ability to give informed consent.

Finally an explanation for Elmo's high pitched voice - the puppeteer has him by the nuts

I have no problem with two people in an intergenerational relationship between two adults (I'm in one myself). So what does that have to do with pedophilia?

Because that's what the article in the OP is about - anyone under 18 years old (victim in this case was 16) in that context, is a victim of pedophilia.

Oh please. If you're 17 and 10 months old it's not pedophilia.

According to the article, having sex with somebody who is 17 years and 0 months old is not "pedophilia," at least in New York.

16 years old isn't a pedophilia either. Ephebophilia is the correct term. Creeper if you want to be colloquial.

I think most states use 12 or 13 as the cutoff between creeper and aggravated creeper.
