  • Is it time to revive the Confederacy?

I notice all those red states make an interesting pattern, reminded me of another time in US history.

The repubs say they aren't going to change. How about a christian fundamentalist revival of the confederacy?
Any views I may express here are personal and certainly do not in any way reflect the views of my employer. Tis the rising of the moon..

Look, I just don't anymore, okay?

Virginia going to Obama makes reforming the Confederacy a biiiit difficult.
“I give you a new commandment, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also should love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”

The parts of Virginia that strongly supported Obama are all within a 15 mile radius of Washington.

The city of Richmond did because it's majority black. Surrounding counties, no.

Atlanta went for the democrats, I'm sure. That doesn't make Georgia not conservative or not Southern.

BTW if you're recreating the confederacy aren't black voters a non issue?

I was pointing out the Confederate capital wouldn't go with it

The actual city limits of Richmond aren't that big, iirc.

You're absolutely correct in your observation; but this time, Texas goes alone.

Not to mention Richmond itself is a ****hole. I mean I locked my car doors because it was so run down and just plain ghetto. We're talking crack dealers standing on the corner with the pants half down their ass while the white guy drove through town in a fairly nice rental car feeling the place was ever more sketchy.

Inner cities being ****holes is true of probably most of the 50 largest urban areas.

Wait, what? Where in richmond were you? There's nice parts and don't-slow-down parts just like a lot of cities.

No, we lost the Civil War when General Grant realized he could lose two Yankees for every Rebel he got and still win.
