...and moved personnel from stricken areas to set things up, and reserved food trucks and massive generators for the event that could have gone to stricken areas, and caused refugees to be kicked out of hotels so the marathoners etc. could have them, etc...

...has now cancelled the event under a crush of well-earned nationwide vitriol.

I wonder how many of the 40,000 expected runners from all over the world are already here?
