She's a political humorist, which means plenty of people won't find her funny.

The reason plenty of people don't find her funny is that most of what she says isn't humor, but vicious and generally vulgar flippancy. Humor involves the unexpected, the incongruous, the absurd; she prefers hyperbole, which doesn't really qualify. Even the people who do find her "funny" aren't laughing at actual jokes but at the way she appeals to their narrow worldview or upsets the (thankfully diminishing) group of left-wing people still silly enough to pay attention to her.

Ann Coulter is an evil *****. She is not a political humorist. I was actually listening to the radio live when she said "we should invade their countries, kill their leaders, and convert them to Christianity." She wasn't doing a goddamned stand-up routine.

She equates being liberal to being treasonous. It's one thing to equate being liberal or conservative with being dumb or uneducated or backwards or weak or etc. But treason is an order of magnitude past the crazy event horizon.

Sorry, I can't abide by the comparison of Maher to Coulter. I'm a conservative, and I find Coulter repulsive, and not at all funny. Maher is, at least sometimes, funny, and not really repulsive; at his worst he's just annoying. You're comparing Hitler to the soup nazi here.

Ah, I hadn't experienced the latter. The misogyny is annoying, but what little i've seen/heard was generally fairly minor, and honestly, if he was dating/married to Ann Coulter, perhaps he has a bad example of womanhood?
