"You say that it is your custom to burn widows. Very well. We also have a custom: when men burn a woman alive, we tie a rope around their necks and we hang them. Build your funeral pyre; beside it, my carpenters will build a gallows. You may follow your custom. And then we will follow ours."--General Sir Charles James Napier

For those who aspire to live in a high cost, high tax, big government place, our nation and the world offers plenty of options. Vermont, Canada and Venezuela all offer you the opportunity to live in the socialist, big government paradise you long for. –Senator Rubio

The philosophy of nonviolence only makes sense if the powerful can be made to recognize themselves in the powerless. It only makes sense if the powerless can be made to recognize themselves in the powerful.
            Also:

In a video obtained exclusively by The Daily Caller, then-presidential candidate Barack Obama tells an audience of black ministers, including the Rev. Jeremiah Wright, that the U.S. government shortchanged Hurricane Katrina victims because of racism.

“The people down in New Orleans they don’t care about as much!” Obama shouts in the video, which was shot in June of 2007 at Hampton University in Virginia. By contrast, survivors of Sept. 11 and Hurricane Andrew received generous amounts of aid, Obama explains. The reason? Unlike residents of majority-black New Orleans, the federal government considers those victims “part of the American family.”

He sounds like he's advocating racial violence and suggesting that, as Kanye West put so elegantly, "George Bush doesn't care about Black people". It's not a very good thing to say.

I'm not seeing a call for racial violence.

Perhaps people are reading into things that they want to be true?

Given that just today the Romney campaign decided to dig up the old Jeremiah Wright garbage and start campaigning on a line that Obama is just too black... Well, I'd say we aren't post-racial just yet. And, of course, the Republicans prove once again that they're nothing but a bunch of race baiting bigots. No surprise there though.

There was nothing wrong with Kanye saying that. The complaint was the forum he used to express it. At least among reasonable people.

This is a media climate that has made supposed bullying decades ago and made hay out of 47% comments by Romney. The bar for what is and isn't news has been lowered alot.

Besides, it does run counter to the president of all the people narrative.

Yes, a lot of republicans are hoping that this wipes away Romney's 47% speech. It doesn't.

I'm faily certain that Romney would rather people be focused on Good Ole Joe's remark about how the middle class has been buried during the Obama admin than this.
