I just went through a two season marathon of watching Ally McBeal.
Good show, makes me laugh and weep. I miss this in syndication because of the night shift work. Thanks to netflix I can now enjoy watching each episode back to back.
I was shock to be told by my wife that Portia de Rossi is a lesbian.

She definitely has some mental issues. I just started on the first episode of season three. I would not be surprised that it was all a delusion.

My wife liked it so I watched a lot of episodes. I hate to admit that I enjoyed most of them. It's hard not to enjoy a show with hot women on it. Don't forget that Lucy Lui was a regular.
In general the writing was pretty good. And yes, almost all the characters had some real issues.
