You believe, like Kuci, that massive pipeline networks and tanker distribution networks can be built within a year across the entire US.

He was an idiot then, and so is anyone else who shares his opinion of magical construction and political fairies. You probably also believe, like Kuci, that "oil" is a single commodity and not dozens of highly variable commodities which each require specialized processing. If one country stops selling you oil, you can just magically take oil from someone on the other side of the world with completely different refining requirements!

Uh yeah I do actually believe that, and I'm pretty sure every economist ever also believes that. We have these things called "ships" and they float and they move other things we call "goods" between countries and they do it really efficiently.
