If you include all the civilians killed in Afghanistan, Iraq and Packistan in America's quest for revenge, you will need to have at least 1 more "9/11" event per week in the US until Christmas to even things out.

I think DD was pointing out the hypocrisy of those who are protesting the civilian deaths of innocent Afghans when before we ever entered Afghanistan, no one gave a **** about the oppressive rule of the Taliban and the plight of Afghans - especially Afghan women.

Generally this is done by camping out in adjacent sympathetic countries, or where there is minimal rule of law, and by making it difficult to discern combatant from civilian.

Observe the Malayan Emergency, where British, Australian, New Zealand, and CAF troops were successful in putting down a Communist insurgency due to a lack of ability for that insurgency to resupply, rearm, and regroup in neighboring countries.

By the forced relocation of about half a million people and a successful hearts and minds campaign.

Drone attacks are our way of striking at terrorist basis outside of our legal area of authority. Better yet, they never involve any American casualties.

In my view, civilian casualties are totally the fault of the Taliban the terrorists that hide out among civilians. They're the ones putting civilians at risk by using them as human shields, just like Hamas in the Gaza Strip. Therefore, not our fault.

Drone strikes are honestly really cool from a scientific standpoint, and if you don't use it you lose it, so let's keep pushing the technological envelope and getting more and more efficient at using these things. At this rate we'll be able to weaponize mosquitos and take back out debt from the Chinks by 2016.

QFT. Sure, we hit the occasional Afghan **** farmer with a drone strike by accident, but it pales in comparison to the tyranny of the Taliban. That said, I still think the occupation was a mistake. We should have gone in, blown up the Taliban's ****, tried to round up bin laden and left.
