    If you go to an elite school you are bound to meet people at least related to people of importance, Asher. A couple members of my dad's class at UVA law are senators.

            He supports gay marriage because his daughter is a Lesbian. He'd be just as bigoted as every other Republican if his daughter wasn't.

              So it only counts if your kids are straight? I thought your problem was with parents who won't accept their gay children.

                It still counts, but it means he only supports it for personal reasons.

                I respect people more who support gay marriage for philosophical or moral reasons. People who supports laws just to help themselves and no one else are not really people I respect.

                For example, Imran. I know he's a Republican (?), Christian...but he's a great man who supports gay marriage.

                                I was. Way back when I was HC's age.

                                I like to say I grew up. Though, IIRC, both rah and Ming are Republicans and support gay marriage (though aren't Christian).
