Would you be creeped out if people did this for George Bush? I would. I'd also be creeped out if they did it for Clinton, Reagan, Bush Sr...etc. Or for Romney.

The sort of hero worship Obama gets is bizarre.

Incidentally I did hate the lovefest for Obama back in 2008. I thought it was absurd then and I think it's absurd now.

I think you might need to come up with better presents for your girlfriends.

According to Asher the pledge of allegiance is always creepy.

He allowed people to convince themselves that a politician might actual unite Americans around the kind of ideals you once believed in. Oh and that the racial divisions of the past were finally history. Didn't take long for both of those happy thoughts to go out the window.

Pledge allegiance to a human = creepy
Pledge allegiance to a piece of cloth = not creepy
              Got it.

Reagan totally has hero worship. Come off it.

Pledging to vote for a dead Reagan isn't beyond many Republicans.

Is it as creepy when Romney said he does not care for forty-seven percent of Americans?
A lot of Republicans are not racist, but a lot of racists are Republican.

You're right, I would not advise the Scott Walker t-shirt as the go-to girlfriend present. I gave her many others, most of which were much more romantic. But she is to my fiscal right, and thoroughly appreciated it.

I love how people are responding to the "CREEPY" issue by mentioning other creepy things.
This doesn't change that it's "CREEPY"

Not really what he said or how he meant it, but Lincoln didn't say it, so...
