He actually seems to make a fair number of public appearances. He was on the Daily Show last night, and I believe he will be on Bill Maher's show this Friday, commenting on this stupid film while promoting his new memoir.

I'm not suggesting they deport him for making the film, I'm suggest they take a closer look at his history because, as a three time loser he almost certainly has committed additional crimes.
Oh, and there's the fact that the money didnt come from rich Jews. He received $60,000 from someone in Egypt. He claims it was his wife's family, they claim it didn't. Out of curiosity, suppose it came from the Muslim Brotherhood or an al Qaeda faction. Would you be comfie with an Islamic movment funding the making of an offensive film in the United States with the purpose of inciting anti-American violence?
There's also the fact that he defamed and libeled the actors he used in the film. He overdubbed their speech to make it appear that they're saying things that they didn't. In fact some of the actors have brought suit to have the film taken off line. I suppose though innocent actors have no say over what they're used for.

      • You wouldn't care at all about this guy if he hadn't made a movie that pissed off some muslims, so DD is spot on.

        • It's not because he made people mad. It's because he got people killed (or potentially anyway).

I think they were more than potentially killed. A number of them were actually killed.

I guess from now on we won't see any more posts advocating the deportation of Hispanic-Americans, 'cause all they did was be Hispanic.
If it turns out that thar Nakoula actually was paid by muslims I don't expect any outrage.
If anyone can find video footage of DD or HC we're free to overdub it and make them say anything we want.

That would be news to the millions killed by Genghis Khan, Tamerlane, the Inquisition, the assorted Crusades in the Middle East, the Albigensian Crusade, the Thirty Years War, the Massacre Of St Bartholomew, the Ghaznavid and Ghurid invasions of India, et cetera et cetera.

Tamerlane, despite being a Sunni Muslim did not flinch from making war against fellow Sunnis who were in the way.

Similarly Roman Catholic France and Spain were frequently at war with each other, depsite one monatch being ' Most Catholic Majesty (or King)' and the other 'Most Christian King'. Lovely irony.

Genghis Khan called himself 'the flail of God'.

Not too many atheist crusaders there.

I was just referring to communism.

If you mean Stalinist Russia and Maoist China, do be specific.

              Communism counts as a religion.
Hmm. Requires (a millennial) faith in a future life where all will be provided for, and has cults of personality, and sacred sites- Marx's grave in Highgate Cemetery, Lenin's embalmed body..... and founded by a (secular) Jew.

Certainly has the makings of a decent Christian heresy...

He didn't kill anyone or cause anyone to be killed. It reflects poorly on you to still be parroting that lie from the Administration.

Considering how scandalized you are by dubbing, I take it you've never seen a kung fu movie in your life.

Yes but they attempt to match what the actor is saying in his native laguage with dialogue that means roughly the same thing.

The first lawsuit by one of the actors to get the film yanked off Google was thrown out of court. The judge likened the suit to Arnold Schwarznegar suing Hemdale Films over the dialogue in The Terminator. The problem is that Hemdale Films didn't take the dialogue spoken by Schwarznegar and overdub it with something that he would have found objectionable and would have refused to say.

As I stated before, this was a non-union production. If SAG or one of its affiliates had been involve, this "director" would have lost.

I have been dubbed into different languages, and have done voice work dubbing foreign programs into English. I have also dubbed additional VO dialogue into shows as required. This is all acceptable.

When I was on Jake and the Kid back in the '90s, I know the show was sold to several countries, including Germany. I am certain that the German company kept the intent of the dialogue close to what was written, and did not have Jake, the farm hand/father figure ever say,"Let's go f*ck goats, like the Prophet Allan would do." This would have violated the agreement between the Canadian production company and the German distributers.

Since "Innocence of Muslims" was not made by professionals, professional recouse won't be offered to the actors.

I'd like to know why certain posters here are defending the sh*tbag who produced/directed this. Professional, convicted fraudster whose parole was violated - good man to have as a citizen. No, don't deport him - he sounds like the type of fraud modern Americans can look up to.
