It's possible to think that it's not a good thing but still disagree with proposed solution. I don't think Government should be involved telling people what they can and can't eat. That doesn't meant that I don't care about people's health. And yes I believe she was advocating.

The proposed solution in this case being a prominent public figure encouraging people to eat healthier?

I did say that she was just advocating. I was referring to ban on large drinks (that's a can't)

"First Lady" is not a Constitutionally-defined government position. She can exercise her First Amendment rights to say whatever the hell she pleases. That said, I don't think there's any particular reason why we should listen to the spouses of elected officials.

Was addressing DD, mea culpa for not being clear.

You sir, are a douchebag. There's nothing wrong with educating people on healthy living.

Why don't you listen instead of talking so much, then? You're not exactly a poster boy for healthy living.

I did listen (actually, this case, read) what DD said. How can he equate education on healthy living with forcing people to live more healthy?

So you think it's OK to legislate how people eat? You think that they should take the time to even discuss it? Don't say it isn't happening, because it is.
Educating is one thing, legislating is quite another.

Exactly how was the First Lady legislating anything at all? It's pretty disappointing that you've feel the need to call one of the few truly positive figures in American politics right now a '*****'.
