  • Any good TV series?

    So... anything good lately?

I like scifi, crime, comedy just to name few.

I absolutely loved The Boss, and just found out about Workaholics which I think is really funny. I can't watch an episode without bursting out laughing.

What else is there these days? I'm watching X-Files again, anything similar out there? Any good writing (like The Boss or The Wire?). I also really really like Breaking Bad. Recommendations?

Just to check on you guys and let you know that I'm drunk, I've got a great business day tomorrow and will be making money, I'll be also buying land this coming week and last week I had my MRIs back and the thing some of you might remember is still being fought off and has not returned yet. So I'm doing absolutely great! Now I just need some entertainment to go along with long days.

Great, great week so far. I had a fight with the missus though. Not like a fist fight of course. What else? No more wine for me. My weight is sort of not going up or down, I'm worried about my metabolism since I'm eating very well and should be dropping a pound a week easily. That's not happening.

My kids won't let me go to the bathroom in peace. I really miss my own time. Listen, I went to a festival last week. Pretty good... but cost me a fortune. Get this, 8 euro beers. What the hell... 8 euros? SHUT UP! No wait. Give me one... expensive but give me another one as well. This is not my sweet spot price wise so shut up, I need to numb my mind because I'm tired 24/7 and I rarely get to party, if ever. My best party is taking a crap without no one bothering me and it being a nice event structure and colour wise. It usually is. I eat really healthy. I have to.

I can't believe how much money everyone spends except me, and how I get to make that money so everyone can spend it - except me. What is this? Why wasn't I born a kid or a woman? I mean, technically I was a kid once but still. I'm not an ATM.

Go to a pro hockey game in Canada. 1 beer=$10-12. And you can only get the 'sponsor' beers. Our local baseball team - beer or shots = $3.50 - $5.

As for TV, Boardwalk Empire is fun and the new season of Dr. Who starts soon (in Canada).

Hey man, great to see you drunk-posting!

Excellent spy series: Burn Notice and Covert Affairs.
            FBI/con man vibe: White Collar.
FBI/solving gruesome murders with cool science vibe: Bones

More on the sci-fi tip - Alphas (socially maladjusted kids with superpowers). Uneven, but has its moments.

If you like snappy dialog and liberals, try Aaron Sorkin's new HBO series, Newsroom. Jeff Daniels is very good in this.

More sci-fi -- If you haven't watched Fringe, there's like 3-4 seasons of weirdness you can go through.

I wouldn't bother with the new Dallas.

Watch the original mid-80s "Edge of Darkness" starring Bob Peck. It's never been bettered.

Second vote for Fringe, it is very X-Files-esque.

There are 6 seasons of Dexter out there waiting to be watched, I'm watching Jericho, which has been pretty interesting.

                    (And I watch True Blood.)

                    ACK!

True Blood features many, many outstanding tits.

And the absolute worst writing of any HBO show since the nadir of Arli$$.
