Yes. The fact that we have nutjobs who believe that Iraq was invaded for oil profits.

Thank you. If we wanted their oil, we'd have taken over and stayed.

        We haven't left yet .

          We're not occupying either.

Hey Slowwie, I've got more Medal's of Honour than you do...

And six purple hearts too. It was quite a ***** getting them, but they look good on the old CV - not that they care that much about **** like that over here...
Is it me, or is MOBIUS a horrible person?

Yes, sensible people believe you invaded to cause a huge rise in military spending and the channeling of money to war profiting corporations tied closely to the administration of the time.

Come on now, you're not really naive enough to believe it was about terrorists are you?

Does no one finding this disgusting? The ultimate lying on your resume, and it's OK?
Personally, yes it does bother me, though I have to face the fact that lying has been protected by law since the very beginning.

Yes, George Bush, Anders Fogh Rasmussen, Tony Blair, et al. created an international conspiracy to generate artificial profit for defense contractors, as opposed to the far more plausible (not to mention widely known to be true) explanation that they thought Iraq had nuclear weapons and turned out to be wrong.

I wish it surprised me that you've turned out to be a conspiracy theorist as well.

There's a list this forum provides me to put conspiracy theorists on. Welcome to it.

So we've upgraded it to nuclear weapons now?

Give you poor mutts another 10 years and it'll be that we had to go to war to destroy their planet busting space station.

Given that we now know they were being flooded with intelligence showing that there really wasn't a good reason to go to war, there are only a few reasonable explanations for why they did: Stupidity to the point of imbicility, Mentally disturbed, or corrupt. Of the three I'd call corrupt the more likely. As for why Blair went along, I still have no idea. The most likely appears to be that that government was completely in thrall to the US to a degree that was frankly sickening to the UK people and will hopefully never be repeated.

Well, that turns out to have been the outcome, which therefore means all of those people are guilty of the most spectacular failure of epic proportions if that was not their intention...

And that's just a position of common sense.

How about we just say it was all due to sheer bigotry and / or revenge?

If you threw in gross stupidity as well, I could definitely buy that...

I used to live in a flat once in Australia where my girlfriend thought our flatmate/landlady was always trying to screw us for bills etc, when it came to the final reckoning it turned out that she was so ****ing stupid that she undercharged us by quite a bit and didn't even realise - she was a bit of an annoying ***** anyway so we let it slide without mentioning it...

My friend posted this on facebook last night about a run-in with a stolen valor guy:

Went to one of my favorite bars in Florida to find a person dressed in Marine Corps Dress Blues with Corporal chevrons and a hash mark, without ribbons, untailored trousers, no military ID, no emblem on his dress blue belt, and eagles flying sideways on his collar emblems. He was trying to get some drinks...If he didn't know what a knife hand was he quickly got the lesson this evening in the men's restroom for wearing a uniform he did not earn. Interesting evening.
No, he didn't beat him up. Just gave him a stern talking to.

Someone should have exercised their free speech and shot him.

Wait... Have I got that right?
