Local broadcasters would have to catch themselves whenever they said it wrong. Now as short as a few years later, I hear Willis Tower more than Sears Tower. In another decade, the old name will be forgotten by most.

As someone already pointed out, it's not called Big Ben, that's the name of the bell. It's just become a nickname for the whole tower. The thing that is actually being renamed is currently called the Clock Tower.
