Malvinas, from the french Malouines, named after the port from which sailed the ship which first saw them, St. Malo. The british then gave them a new name when they landed and left a plaque, because **** the french.

At least we have universal healthcare and don't make a habit of ****ing up other countries on baseless grounds.

    • From what I've read, it's universal, but it's also universally bad. Enjoy your runaway inflation.

The saying right now goes that Brazil is turning into Argentina, Argentina is turning into Venezuela, and Venezuela is turning into Zimbabwe.

makes sense, the WSJ quoting an unnamed brazilian saying something ridiculous. not that i think it's false (i.e. i can well believe that a brazilian said that); the imbecility of the brazilian upper/middle classes has to be seen to be believed.

Its much much better than what millions of people in the US, a country with almost five times the GDP per capita, get.

No- that's just a numbering guide. Count the number of Union Jacks in the picture.

so what are the numbers for?

just a count? so all of the bases are in the same series?

                              gotcha

I got thrown off by the #1 that is seemingly right on top of the "home islands" or whatever
