He swore an oath to inadequate government, you say? Well, that describes Pakistan's government as well as any other, so I don't see what the problem is.

It would be hypocritical for him to execute a bunch of terrorist attacks and to then turn in Bin Laden. AFAIK he wasn't a terrorist leader trying to eliminate the competition, but maybe the Belgians have more information on the matter.

Nothing hypocritical about the Pakistani government's actions - they implicitly supported Bin Laden by allowing him to live in their country for who knows how many years, and now they're explicitly supporting Bin Laden by punishing the guy who turned him in.

                  from the NYPost article
"Shakil Afridi ran a vaccination program for the CIA to collect DNA..."
I guess anyone accepting American charity should now suspect the CIA will be behind it. I could see this putting American (as well as Canadian & European) aid workers at even greater risk. American foreign policy sucks dead camel balls.

If you read the story link.
Senior U.S. officials have called for Afridi to be released, saying his work served Pakistani and American interests.

Show me a quote from President "Spiking the Football" Obama demanding action on this issue. This is especially important given that it was apparently his admin that exposed the guy in the first place.
